Traditional Thai Massage

Traditional Thai Yoga Massage is a deep, full-body massage performed on a futon on the floor. It follows specific meridians that run along the whole body and aims at identifying and clearing blockages through pressure, palpation and, if desired, assisted stretching. The overall goal is to restore the free flow of vital energy.

Benefits of Thai Massage go way beyond the increase in physical mobility and muscular relaxation: it stimulates the lymphatic and cardiovascular system, can help improve your digestion and breathing pattern and makes you feel relaxed, calm and at home in your own skin.

Please wear comfortable clothes that allow for movement (like yoga / jogging pants or tights) and avoid any food and caffeinated drinks two hours prior to treatment.

Treatments take place at Friheim 33b. If you prefer to receive the treatment at your personal living space additional costs apply.

Tulamassage

Tulamassage is a deep, full-body oil massage performed on a futon on the floor. Movements follow the rhythm of the music and a loose, choreographic structure. Also referred to as „meditation in touch“, Tulamassage has an almost ceremony-like character, where you receive genuine care, unwavering presence and the fusion of tenderness and strength in a fluid, wave-like continuity of movement. It’s a deeply fulfilling and nourishing experience – an experience of coming home to yourself, of surrender and release where you realise with each breath, that you are here, that you have arrived, that you are cared for and complete.

Tulamassage is ideally received naked, although you are mostly covered with a sheet so you won’t feel any exposed. If you are uncomfortable being completely undressed, don't worry, you can wear knickers you don't mind getting some oil on. Please avoid any food and caffeinated drinks two hours prior to treatment.

Treatments take place at Friheim 33b. If you prefer to receive the treatment at your personal living space additional costs apply.

Prenatal Massage

Prenatal Massage

Prenatal Massage nurtures the nurturer and provides space for some much-needed relaxation. Carrying a baby changes your centre of gravity and therefor posture, which often results in a sore lower back, tension in shoulders and neck.

Prenatal Massage can help to alleviate some of the most common aches and pains, keeping your body supple and balanced. Finding a sense of letting go, of surrender and care can lower anxiety and stress associated with the mental and emotional challenges oftentimes encountered during pregnancy.

The treatment is performed on a futon and customised to the needs of the pregnant body. The most common positions are side-lying or seated, with pillows and bolsters providing additional comfort and support.

While massage is generally considered to be safe in the first trimester, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) recommends Prenatal Massage after week 13 (second and third trimester). Please check with your health care provider if there is any reason for you not to receive a treatment. Also, wear comfortable clothes (like yoga/jogging pants or tights) and avoid any food and caffeinated drinks two hours prior to treatment.
